Freedom of Speech recommend that all Olympus digital recorders should be used in conjunction with an ME12 microphone. The ME-12 simply plugs into your digital voice recorders microphone jack for uni-directional recording in high noise environments. It reduces ambient noise & improves transcription accuracy when using voice recognition software.

The Olympus ME-51S is optimised for recording lectures and meetings where voices are at a distance from the microphone. It enhances voice recordings, reduces background noise and minimises room echoes. Its small, inconspicuous format makes the recording process more natural and less obtrusive.

Use it in conjunction with your Olympus digital recorder to record your important meetings and listen to it afterwards. Many speech recognition software user then dictate the pertinent points directly into MS Word as a transcription of the meeting.
